Re: 123D Design Shutting Down
It was a surprise to me also, and I had purchased the Book! I was using Fusion 360 but as I noted elsewhere on here it was slow as it requires internet access and then the constant updates. I found this ViaCAD 2D/3D V10 and it was easy to use and not very expensive, see my "other" post on here. I do...

Re: Best modeling software for my business
Up until 3 weeks ago I had decided that Fusion 360 even with all its quirks and slowness with a medium speed DSL connection was it for me. I came from learning ACAD in 1992 and decided Autodesk is for me. However on a whim I decided to try Punch ViaCAD 2D/3D Version 10 and wow, it is much more user ...

Re: Quick Start - 2mm hex wrench step not available?
I do not have the "E" model but mine was purchased August (I think) 2015. I checked it then, and after the PEI install I leveled in Sept and I am ashamed to admit that was the last time I checked. About a week ago I moved the M2 downstairs after not using for maybe 2months thinking maybe I should ch...

Re: X and Y Layer Shifts
I will vote for the PEI sheet and proper set up. Mine has been on for about a year now, granted I do not print a lot, but it works great.

Thanks for the reply, I just was looking for the file to copy. I did figure out the Export and Import and got it transferred.

Re: Simpllify3D Material settings make no sense?!
I am going to renew this Thread with a question? Where are those material Profiles stored? I have modified mine for PETG as that material does not seem to be on the S3D list and I would like to copy over to my other computers.

Re: What makes printers in the $3000+ price range better?
I had a TAZ Mini and the TAZ 5. The Mini was decent, but it has to do the auto leveling ALL the time. Build quality equal to a M2 with a much smaller print area. The 5 was not solid construction at all, lots of aluminum extrusions used and the print head sagged because the X axis rods were too small...

Re: DIY Laser
Ok a update working on new control system using Arduino board and Gshield. In the mean time my newly purchased and installed Nortons Suite found a Virus in the Chinese software. Needless to say all the Chinese software is deleted and the rest of my computers and USB drives will be scanned. Malwareby...

Re: DIY Laser
To keep Ed and others from being concerned that I will burn my eyes out I need to post a couple more pictures. But the Blue light lasers are very dangerous and notice the amber shielding that I have made and used around the machine. I do also have extra safety glasses ordered and coming tomorrow, th...
