Re: Prusaslicer 2.x

You can save all the current settings with Export → Config and reload them with Import → Config. After you finish tweaking the settings for a particular project, that's a good starting point for something similar. Similarly, you can save / restore all the configuration settings in one lump using Ex...

Re: PrusaSlicer 2.0 settings

Just downloaded PS 2.3 rc2 and did a one for one compare to S3d v 4.01. I set up PS the same as 23D to the best of my ability using the profile I created for my M2 and printed a part I had just printed 6 times with S3D. I am impressed, much much nicer finish on side and top.. going to try and use PS...

Re: Initial Z-height in Quick Start

It is a good idea to run M503 and saver the output for future reference :-)

Re: Initial Z-height in Quick Start

on the terminal type M503 Look at the line near the end of the output that says 206 The Z= xx.xx is your offset, mine is 12.xx but it all depends on how fare the set screws are in under the corners. When I put on a 1/4 think fiberglass bed the number changes to 9 for me.. so maybe start at 10 to be ...

Re: Sudden uphill battle with PETG?

funny, today I had my hot end stop printing after the first layer.. 2 times. It was my .5 nozzle hot end and had been used just the other day for several prints with eSun PETG. Seemed like the hot end is cooling off yet the thermistor says it is still 240. I swapped it out for the hot end that has t...

Re: 1st layer squish printing PETG

I print a lot of PETG on my M2 with Kapton. I use eSun and print at 235 and 70. When you change your layer height you will need to adjust your Z offset for that perfect layer. This can be done in S3d or in the Firmware with M206. To do this you need to print a calibration square and measure it. Set ...

Very nice work, Airscape. If you paint PETG, what do you use?
No idea.. I try not to use PETG if I need to glue it or paint it..

Re: removing and replacing nozzles

Ok, I see what you are saying, I have never left a hot end on over night with PETG in it. As far removing a nozzle to clean and reinstalling on the same hot end, I have done it in the past when I first got the machine and was successful. Eventually I cracked the nozzle trying to change sizes with ou...
