Re: Heat Insert Technique?
i've had good experience 3d printing holes to the tap drill diameter which always print a little smaller, then cleaning the hole with the proper size tap drill held in either a pin vise or a 1/4 inch jacobs chuck I keep for this sort of thing, then tapping for the thread I want. I do a lot of 10-32,...

Re: Slice Engineering Copperhead hot end 450C
I don't see how you are going to get good heat transfer from the heating element without the paste. And sensor won't work reliably either. I bought one of these for my M2E but haven't installed it yet. I plan to shorten the heat-break tube so that the length of the assembled device is same as makerg...

Re: warped PETG prints
the M2 is at the shop about a mile from home. i use Octopi and can monitor the printing via the webcam which watches what's going on. I use VNC so can watch it from home. If there is a problem, I can shut down the print, which then does a soft shutdown on the printer. my 20 hour print has about 4 ho...

warped PETG prints
I'm using the MakerGear Forum recommended PETG setup for Simplify3D with my M2/E. The printer is not enclosed and the ambient temperature in the shop is 75F. Setup above calls for turning fan on after printing the first layer, using 87C for bed and 247C for extruder. I'm used to getting a little lif...
Re: Klipper
I agree that reducing heat may cause the extruder not to be able to melt filament quickly enough to keep up. a ducgted fan does eem a good fix. keep us up on what you are doing.

Re: Klipper
Thanks for posting on this. at the faster speeds, would you think that reducing extruder temperature a bit would be constructive?

Re: 3D Printed CoronaVirus Respirators
HI TomR, Did you seal the PetG part of the mask, and if so with what? Also,in full knowledge of the imposition of asking this, is it possible/easy to share the first part of your g-conde with us? Simplify3D gcode contains all of the settings in the first several page equivalents. Having this informa...
