Re: Need some advice on how to respond
Its hard not to take those types of messages personally, especially when you've invested so much of yourself in your work and product. I would send links to a 3D scanner (if the person wants to scan images/items) and to the reprap list of software for creating files. Stay frosty and professional, re...

Awesome! Thanks
So... will running at a higher ohms rating (say 2) kill the power supply? That should cause the bed to heat faster correct?

Re: Software to include with the M2?
I found repetier host to be confusing- I may be in the minority, but the RH settings vs the Slic3r settings all in one program was overwhelming for me when I first started and I had problems understanding the workflow. Kissslicer produced nice prints, but agian, I believe it might be confusing for a...

Re: Maker Gear M2, extruder clogging
After watching your video, this is my theory- Your initial Z height looks too low to me- I think you're probably getting too much pressure in the nozzle as a result, that causes the gear to strip little "bites" of filament, which clogs the gear teeth, which causes the filament to eventually slip. Cl...

Re: Coordinate display in S3D?
Great idea on the cylinder, its basically the same as having a coordinate display, or close enough to help hide those pesky seams when you want.

Re: Coordinate display in S3D?
I'm looking for a quick way to precisely use the new S3D feature that lets you locate the start point for layers. Just a 2D overhead display would work.

Re: Maker Gear M2, extruder clogging
There could be several culprits but that certainly doesn't sound like the normal operation of a M2. Have you changed firmware? Have you tried printing with any ABS filament? Did you maybe have a hard time getting PLA to stick at first and adjusted your nozzle really close to the glass? I've done tha...

Coordinate display in S3D?
I'm probably overlooking this, but is there a way to display the x,y coordinate of the mouse in Simplify 3D Creator?

Dual Extruder Bowden or not?
I've been working on a dual extruder for my M2. I had planned on using the bowden feed system, but I realized that I don't have any experience setting up an extruder for the bowden system. After getting used to tuning my M2, I'm worried the bowden will be a pain to tune- anyone have M2 bowden feedba...

8.3 naming convention
I wasn't sure if everyone already knew about the 8.3 naming convention causing print names to show up with a "~" in the "print from sd" menu, but I thought I'd share how I've worked around it. I have a lot of print files, many with different copies of objects and it gets hard to keep the names strai...
