Help with the fans

Post by agriff » Sat Aug 08, 2020 12:42 am

Hello,

So I have a question... I think its a simple/easy answer but, I've been on the googles for hours and can't find the answer I need.

I disassembled my fan system to replace a broken fan wire... now I can figure out how to reassemble it... Well, its reassembled but the fans won't stay in line with the extruder on the top or the bottom... I might have stripped it by accident but I don't think so. I was gentle... If I am being honest it was kind of this way before, but now it's bad and I can't figure it out. Can someone post a couple of pics of the assembly order or a good hack to fix this problem?

Knowing the printer model and revision would be helpful.
MG had some pictures of the machines.. M2 is here

So on my M2 v4RE the order of parts from the extruder out is spacer, extruder fan, angled bracket parts fan. Sounds like you are missing the spacer, screw is tight but fan is not.

These are really old but might get you heading in the right direction.
