Newbie Makergear M2 Dual setup question

Post by KD5RKO » Fri Jan 17, 2025 8:13 pm

So I got a Makergear M2 Dual which started life as a single and was then upgraded. I've gotten as far as getting the bed levelled and making a singular successful test print which was in the middle of the bed. When I tried something larger which goes to the edges, it goes off the bed. I'm using Octoprint on a Pi. When I go to home in Octoprint the nozzles are past the edges in both dimensions. (See picture) Is there a physical adjustment to the equipment I can make, or do I need to change the settings within Octoprint?

Thanks in advance for any assistance. I'm sure this is something super simple.

Also, when I get that squared away, I'm sure I will have to change the boundaries somehow to change the second nozzle?

As you have discovered, this forum is pretty quiet. Unfortunately, I have a single extruder machine and can't provide any assistance. Your best bet is probably to contact MakerGear factory Tech Support. They've always been helpful when I've had a question.

The other thing might be to track down the upgrade instructions for the dual extruder conversion. That might provide some insight into what is going on.

Good luck!

I was given a duel and the first thing I did was remove the addition components and make it a single.. I had the luxury to have been give all the original parts so it was not a big deal to revert to a single extruder
I do not think you can use the entire bed for a single print. this setup we more to make copies of small items..
