echo: cold extrusion prevented

Post by gwendyl » Sun Oct 11, 2020 9:38 pm

Hi all!

So starting about a month ago, my printer has started quitting mid print. MakerGear M2. Right before it quits, I get a series of "echo: cold extrusion prevented" errors, followed by :

[ERROR] Failed to set power settings:

Early on, I did research into this and deduced that it was a failed thermistor. I can see the temperature jumping all over the chart. However, I have replaced the entire hot end and the problem continues.

Additionally, now, my build plate will not heat up. Related? Coincidental?

Any suggestions for next steps in diagnosing would be very appreciated!

Time to start checking for broken wiring in the harness and loose connections from end to end..
