print bed will not heat

Suddenly now, the print bed will not heat at all. I turn on the print bed and the target temp gets set, but the plate stays cold to the touch and the printer does not report any print bed temperature.
Full disclosure -
I am in the process of diagnosing another problem (already reported) with the extruder and thermistor sporadically reporting no temperature and shutting down the print. It is quite possible that I have miswired something. Although I have triple checked the print bed wiring and it all looks correct according to all the labels I can find.
Is there a wiring map somewhere that I can refer to in order to make sure I didn't do something stupid?
