Need a replacement Extruder Stepper

Post by bringjustn » Sun Mar 22, 2015 3:25 pm

So my M2 seems to hate me, after fixing the fans that died, figuring out the hot end wasn't lined up and not allowing the feeding (which is my guess of what led to this problem), and then the bracket holding the extruder stepper cracking.

Complaining over, my problem is that the shaft on the extruder stepper motor has sheared off (the geared one that goes into the gear box) Image

My question is does anyone know where I can buy a new stepper motor, or even just the shaft/magnet assembly to replace the internals?

I have looked on the makergear website under the motors section and the option that makes most sense to me (Partial Extruder Stepper Motor) isn't available to purchase, so I need to look else where and need it sooner than later as I use the printer for printing parts for a High School FIRST Robotics team and we have a competition next week.

the stepper has never been available from the makergear website. just contact support and they will get you a new stepper. all the parts for the m2 are available from makergear even if they are not listed.

My guess is from the stepper mount being broken, causing things to shift and the filament to get stuck and not feed which caused the stepper to bind causing the break. \\

Or the printer hates me. I emailed support last night so hopefully I can have the replacement sooner than later
