It might help if we knew what you did to the machine

I don't use Slic3r, but the first place I usually try is the user's manual or forum for whatever software I'm trying to learn.

The one for Slic3r is found here:
http://manual.slic3r.org/

Then I'd read through this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=20

You might also want to check out the Slic3r forum if they have one.

That might help you get started until someone here who uses Slic3r sees your post.

:D

the tutorial sent me a link to an older version of the marlin firmware and showed me how to install it onto my makergear m2. the maker gear I have is the pre built kit from their website. My printer has the V3b hot end along with a 24v power supply.

Long story short I installed old firmware onto my makergear m2 and I don't know exactly which one to download back onto it

Okay I installed the firmware but my simplify3d software keeps showing the same error:

Would this be a hardware problem? i checked all my connections and everything is secure both to the extruder and to the board.

Did you send M999 to tue printer to reset it? If not send it. After that try to heat the extruder, bed and jog the steppers around to see if they work
