Hello All,
I have printed this part twice now with the same issue. Any idea why the top of the print looks so sloppy. I don't think its a leveling issue but i could be wrong. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

If you post your print settings it will give us a better idea of how to troubleshoot this.
Without seeing anything else, IMHO it looks like those top layers are printed a little too hot and they're causing warpage. I might increase the minimum layer print time to allow those small surfaces to cool a bit more.

Definitely too hot up top. Keep the same settings, just print 4 at once.sckibbons wrote:Hello All,

I'm using the PLA slicer settings which can be found here:

Unfortunately i cannot access the drive from my current computer to upload the file directly. Instead of printing several parts, would it help to reduce the extrusion speed?

Probably not, because letting the hot nozzle hover over the object will still slag the PLA: its melting point is just too low.sckibbons wrote:would it help to reduce the extrusion speed?
Moving the nozzle away from the part gives it time to cool between successive layers, but, alas, lets the nozzle whack against a layer that's curling up around an edge. Adding a bit of hop during layer changes may prevent that, as will more cooling airflow.

It could be (and probably is) cooling issues as Ed suggests. One other thought is, what is your infill set to? On domed tops like that it is important to have a high enough infill to prevent it from falling in. I suggest 15 at a minimum, and 30% preferred. 3 top layers.

I added a box around the part and it came out pretty good. Thanks for all your help!
