Ok so My Printer just showed up today and I've been messing with it all evening and while I can get stuff to print I'm having to do it while working around an issue.
Whenever I start a Print with Repetier-Host it lowers the heat on the extruder and the bed to it's defaults even tho I thought I have changed them. Instead of keeping the nozzle at the 215c the instructions suggest it drops it down to 175 and I have to manually raise it up and while I can usually do this while it's trying to make that ring around the print it does before it prints anything, it sometimes clogs and I have ti grab my tweezers and pull the wasted PLA out before it can mess up the actual print.
And I've tried printing at the low temp it doesn't really work as well when I get it up to 210-215 ish.
And I have no idea why it does this or how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.
Extruder won't stay hot.
Re: Extruder won't stay hot.
Temperatures can be and usually are baked into a g-code file by the slicer, which will override any settings you set manually in Repetier as the print starts. Check your slicer settings to make sure any temperature settings are correct.
