I was just testing the loading and saving, not suggesting those as settings.

But I do like the idea of more than 100% infill width as it minimizes movement. I have actually been using 200%.

Huh! I might have to dial mine up - I'd like to minimize movement......thanks for the tip! :D

I thought everyone was running at least 140%.

we were to get a nice solid infill with the every other layer rectilinear mode but with the new patterns printing every layer its not really necessary. i dropped all mine back down to 100%

That was just for the PETG in my case - didn't think to do it on the PLA. (Just ignerent!) :D

Just be aware that you're getting the same amount of infill, but the gaps will grow to compensate for the increased width. For example, if you specify 200% infill width and 15% infill percentage, the gaps between infill lines will be about what you would get for an 8% infill percentage (more or less). At very low infill percentages and certain materials, that may cause problems. If you want to keep the same infill wall distance, you should increase the infill percentage by the same amount as you are increasing the infill width.

Yeah, that makes sense. :)

Ran into a slight problem with the new software. Loaded two parts on the plate and clicked print. Came back to a mess. After watching the layer preview it diced to print 2 layers on the first part prior to doing anything for the second part. Our didn't lower the Z height when it stayed on second part so it was printing on the air. Anyone ruin into this?

no, can you zip up the factory file and post it here? only time i see this is when the one part is not sitting completely on bed due to the bottom not being flat.

Yes, I saw it happen once early this morning. I was just printing calibration squares at the time (2 on the board), so I figured I must have done something wrong, or something got knocked loose.

But since then, I've also seen two strange slicing phenomena.... Both were unusual patterns that were supposed to be the Fast Honeycomb. Neither one looked like a honeycomb, one of them that I actually printed is rather pretty and looks like a mandala, and subsequent slices were fine. On the mandala one though, the odd thing is that the bottom two layers did look like the Fast Honeycomb pattern. So there's sumpin' goin' on. It's like S3D is just suddenly deciding to do it's own thing. (Could be additional settings that i'm not familiar with yet though, so i'm reserving judgement until I'm sure.)
