I love that you allow me to upgrade my years old machine to the same one that ships today via part upgrades. I love that my M2 is still way better than MANY of the newest machines on the market.

But non-owners will never know any of that until after purchasing. How are they going to know if you don't tell them?

A revisions/updates/changelog page on your website would go a long way towards helping everyone see how hard you have been working to keep the M2 an up-to-date and ass-kicking printer.
Also agreed on all points. Plus, I would add that when the changelong is buried in documentation somewhere, it's not going to be noticed by anybody who isn't specifically looking for it. I think you would get a lot of benefit simply from selling the "M2 Rev. E" instead of just the "M2". It would be one thing if you only thought of the machine as going through a gradual sliding scale of improvements, but it's clear that internally you talk about "Rev. D" and "Rev. E" and so forth, so you clearly have in mind that the machine is going through specific stages of marked improvement. Stress the critically important aspects of backwards-compatibility and upgradeability. Then prospective buyers will be aware that this is not outdated technology, and is not going to be outdated until some new and disruptive technology replaces filament printers.

They're at the stage of updating the instructions and video tutorials. (Last stage before wider release or announcement.) :D
(This one doesn't work the same way that we've always done it, with the Z-Stop now at the bottom of the machine.)

I purchased a M2 on 2-21-16, and was unaware that a significant series of upgrades were in the works. I would have waited to buy the Rev.E. Now I have to invest more money, on top of what was recently spent, when the upgrades are available. Not to happy about this.

You don't necessarily need to upgrade to the latest and greatest...the printer will still perform the same. New update just allows for easier bed leveling to lower the learning curve for inexperienced users. The 3 screw spider has been in use since the launch and has been pretty rock solid.

If you were to wait for them to finish upgrading the M2 before you bought one you might be waiting a long time as they are always making improvements to it. You really can't expect any business to say "Hey don't buy anything for (x) amount of time because we are making a slight change.

I wouldn't call the Rev E. upgrades a significant change.... They are not life changing upgrades, your printer is going to work just as well without them so I really wouldn't be to quick to worry about spending more money to upgrade yours. The main upgrade is more of a convenience thing it just make leveling the bed for beginners a little bit easier.

Actually, I was a beginner with no experience in 3D printing prior to the purchase, so it sounds like the upgrades would be helpful. I certainly don't expect any company to halt sales based upon changes to their products. However, it would be nice to have an idea what is in the works and roughly when it will come out, so someone in my position could possibly plan accordingly. What one person perceives as a significant upgrade may not viewed the same by another. If these changes would help a beginner, then perhaps to a beginner they are significant.

They pretty much offer everything new up to beta testers here in the forum so just being here you're on the right track to being in the loop. The latest thing (in the last few days) looks to be a new extruder feed gear.

As for when it will come out to the masses.... In general I'd say they give us the stuff to test for a few months to make sure it all works in the real world situations and then they faze it into the production machines.

Granted the MG guys could be a little more informative when it actually hits that point so the forum members who like to offer support here know which Rev's we are trying to help with. :D
