Figured it out - indeed the channel in my filament drive was quite worn away. Not sure why that happened so fast, only using standard black PLA from Makergear and white PLA from Polymaker with less than 50 total print hours on my M2. Anyway, I managed to print a replacement filament drive at work in "nuclear green" Advanced PETG by allprofessional3d and I'm back up and running test prints. (Great bridging via Simplify3D slicer @90% extrusion 100% speed modifier.)

I do still have a question - I'm hearing a clicking when the motor does a series of rapid retractions, any thoughts?
