Single Filament Drive r3.STEP/STL

Post by avvero » Wed Feb 15, 2017 2:56 pm

Hello!

Just a quick question driving me crazy.

I'm trying to modify the 'Single Filament Drive r3' file to add a mount for the BLTouch.

I noticed the diameter between the last two versions for the filament hole on GitHub is different.

So, I'm not sure how filament with the size of 1.75mm will fit into the 1.70mm hole for the filament drive.

Did I miss something?

Here is a version I made. I gave up on the project, but perhaps this will save you some time.

They are probably making a slightly tighter hole that they then ream out evenly. (Or they are trying to adjust for something with the hole size that was causing them problems, like the filament was too loose going in to the machine and was getting out of alignment and jamming or cutting into the side of the drive.)

(I can think of several reasons.)
